Paper Doll Project (Round 2)

Hey lovelies! Sorry it's been pretty quiet around here...I've been feeling a bit under the weather (and my chapped and makeupless face in these photos proves it, ha!) I'm a bit late but really wanted to post my outfit from the second round of the Paper Doll Project. This time, I was paired up with the lovely Cassie of Peachy Keen. I asked her to style my new wedges and I love what she came up with:

I always wear this t-shirt with pants and would have never thought to pair it with this skirt, so I'm so glad Cassie thought to pair them because I love the combo. She did choose a different belt for me but I could not find it for the life of me, so I thought this one was close enough. She also suggest some pretty socks, which I didn't do this time around but am totally going to try with these wedges in the future.

Hello, May!

I'm excited about this outfit for several reasons. 1) It was almost too hot for this thicker t-shirt today. Amazing. 2) I love the red, blue, and brown color combo. 3) New shoes!

These photos remind me that I am whiter than white.

The height on these is pretty extreme, but it's fun to pretend I'm about 5'7" for a day. I can even reach the top shelf of the cabinet without the help of a chair.

Don't you love the little twists down the front? Sigh.

Romping

Here is my accidental romper. I like to think of it as more of a faux dress. I totally thought it was a real dress when I bought it, only to realize there were leg holes when I got home. I rarely wear it because of this, but thought I would introduce it to the gorgeous weather today.

The problem with this romper is that I feel like an overgrown toddler wearing it, so I thought I'd dress it up with some pearls, tights, oxfords, and a low bun. It is the Royal Wedding day after all.

Also, I finally got my tripod back! Perfect day for it, too. Have a beautiful weekend.

Another Kind of Green

Just doing a quick post before I run off to work today. I'm making up for my lack of green on St. Patrick's Day today—a little late, but it's the thought that counts, or something like that.

Hey all! So I'm a little late with the Easter post, but mine was wonderful and filled with lots of family, fun, food, laughs, and love. The Easter Bunny also brought some surprise 80 degree weather to us!

Comeback

This is what I like to all my sunshine scowl. Angry on the outside, but so happy about the sun in my eyes on the inside. It was also unbelievably windy today. 95% of my photos were pure comedy due to the wind. I also hope you're enjoying the classy hose and rakes in the background.

This dress makes me feel like a bit of a princess when I wear it. It's insanely comfy, yet all the fabric swishing around my legs makes me like I might be headed to prom again.

And oh, these platforms. Another item from high school that I refused to get rid of for some reason. Every time I cleaned my closet for the past 8 years or so I almost tossed them, but for some reason always refused. This is actually their first appearance since about 10th grade. Fun, huh? I remember thinking I was the coolest when I had these paired with my extreme flare jeans.

My hair looks super red today for some reason. The orange cardigan perhaps?

I included this photo from my phone just because I thought it showed the shape of my outfit better than my outside pictures—the wind flying through my dress and cardi make me look kind of lumpy and bulky. I did have to wear flats for work, though—can't go stomping all around the dance studio in platforms!
